Ephraim's Volunteer Fire Department
In the fall of 2007, our 1937 fire station will be restored to the way you see it here and will become Ephraim's fire museum, housing the first fire truck in Door County (a 1934 Ford) as well as many artifacts from early firefighting days in Ephraim. It will also serve as a memorial to Bill Weborg, son of Fire Chief Niles and his wife Joan. Bill was the first Door County firefighter to die in the line of duty (2004).

The equipment van--carries airpaks, spare gear, electric generator, an air cascade system. It's used as our incident command vehicle.

With mutual aid agreements in the five surrounding communities, any structure fire can count on 20,000 gallons of water rolling to the scene.
